Timing for this depends on your comfort and how big you want your bump to be in photographs. Ideally, this would be during the last 6 weeks before due date, but if you have a huge bump earlier on, then that’s fine too. Remember, it’s your bump, so we’ll try to capture its beauty as soon as you feel you’re ready to show it off!
One thing that often worries mums-to-be is stretch marks. Many expecting mums have them, but don’t let them put you off having your picture taken. They are a perfectly natural part of pregnancy. If it’s any consolation, I have stretch marks on my love handles. Not from pregnancy . . . but that’s a whole other story! If the worst comes to the worst, there’s always airbrushing.
It’s best not to wear anything tight, as that might leave lines and marks on the skin. If possible, just wear a bath robe for about an hour before the shoot. However, if it would be too uncomfortable not to wear a bra then don’t worry. Like stretch marks, lines can be edited out afterwards.
As far as clothes go, plain colours are best. Logos and patterns can be a bit distracting, so are generally best avoided. All mums are different, and their ideas for a bump photo session are different, too. Some prefer fully clothed portraits; others go for artistic nude and some for abstract. It’s entirely up to you, but it’s good to have a selection of clothes handy to cover all eventualities.

Either way, I can assure you I won’t be the cheapest you’ll find, but I doubt I’ll be the most expensive either. What I can also assure you is that you will be investing in bespoke artwork, prepared using the finest materials. All prints are made using professional grade archival paper and inks for superior colour, detail and quality.

This includes my time on the day, travel*, post-production, one 10x8 print, one 7x5 print and up to 5 images prepared as low-res files for you to upload to social network sites or email to relatives.
